Joglo is a lovingly restored century-old wooden house from Java, quietly resting beneath the main part of Uma Jiwa Estate, embraced by rice fields and separated from the Estate by a gentle river. Hidden within nature and surrounded by stillness, it offers a rare sense of privacy and deep connection to the Balinese landscape.
At the heart of the Joglo stands an oversized bed draped in soft linen canopy curtains, creating a space that feels both grounding and dreamlike. Traditional carved wooden doors open fully onto the surrounding greenery, allowing nature, light, and the rhythm of the rice fields to become part of the living experience.
The private bathroom features a freestanding bathtub and open shower, designed to feel immersed in nature while maintaining complete intimacy and comfort. A spacious handcrafted wooden wardrobe, hidden behind traditional carved doors, offers both beauty and practicality.
Outside, the expansive terrace invites slow mornings and long evenings with a generous lounge area and a large dining table made for shared meals, quiet rituals, and moments of stillness overlooking the rice fields.
Joglo is more than a stay - it is a return to simplicity, tradition, craftsmanship, and the quiet beauty of Bali’s slower way of living.
